30.07.2012 - Students going to Darkhan

Beginning of August 2012 a group of eight students of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar will be going to  Darkhan, Mongolia. The interdisciplinary team of junior scientists (environmental engineers, media experts, urbanists) will collaborate with Mongolian students and experts at the two universities in Darkhan.

The students work on different topics like:

  • improvement of the waste management system in Darkhan and reuse options for recyclables and organic waste

  • finance model for wastewater treatment and waste management in Darkhan

  • strategies for reuse of products from urine and feces as a fertiliser in the local agriculture

  • technical improvement of the iPiT
